Every year Group 11 holds a Write 4 Rights event, one of many such events occurring all over the country under the aegis of Amnesty International USA. The event commemorates the date on which the United Nations adopted the Universal Declaration of Human Rights: December 10, 1948.
This year’s Write 4 Rights will be held on January 31st at Goddard-Riverside Community Center, 647 Columbus Avenue at 91st Street. You can sign letters for human rights defenders from 10 countries. Come for a while between 6:30 and 8:00 pm to sign the letters and enjoy refreshments. Family, friends and colleagues are invited. Click here for more information.
